Another movie from Karan and Shahrukh combo The concept was nice and I would say that it would have been executed in much better way. During the movie, sometimes it stretched more than required and that made the flick unbearable.

The main idea behind the movie was to prove that terrorism has nothing to do with some particular religion or community. It depends on individual's thoughts and how does he take incidents happening around us. I believe Karan would have concentrated only on his core idea while directing the flick rather than showing diverse aspects of a single personality.

Other than plot of the movie, nothing was great as such. The music was ok, couple of songs really got the media ratings which made those a hit.

In the end, I would say one time watchable. Just to see the idea of the writer.

There had been so many movies on social issues and YMI (Yeah Mera India) is not the first one in that sense.

But the way it had been shot is recommendable. The director avoiding targeting any particular person, group or community for any of the problems shown in the movie. Rather, he preferred to put a particular character in a situation to re-evaluate him/her for good. There are so many examples of it in the movie.

Be it the scene when one father thinks that the call girl waiting downstairs is her daughter and that guilt almost made him to suicide or the scene where one person learn from kids that humanity religion is above any other religion or the incident which tells us to respect every individual for her/his individuality without considering her/his social significance, financial situation etc.

I would recommend anyone not to miss this movie. You don't want to regret later for sure.

Cheers

I was watching this movie on Zee Studio (my favorite movie channel ) yesterday. It is just awesome.

Low budget movie as whole story runs inside an elevator and only two characters are there. Sandhya being one of my favorite. After seeing her performance in recent movies, she must be a theater actor for sure. There is nothing so called special about the movie as it is very simple. If someone is not a fan of art movies then I doubt s/he will be able to finish this movie in one go and that too without changing the channel while advertisements are going on (yeah, I didn't allow anyone to change the channel as I didn't want to miss a single word of the conversation between two characters ).

The story starts when Purab Kohli runs to catch an elevator going down and Sandhya Mridul is already there. As the lift is going down, suddenly the lift stops at 13th floor (not exactly but we can say that, explained in the movie ). It was total black out in the city so both of them get stuck inside the lift for whole night. How the conversation between two characters started in the lift and how their lives were linked to each other is what keeps you bind to the movie.

I had seen a lot of movies like this and one to mention here is "The missed call". Enjoy!!!
