"Dreams of Taleem" is one of those plays which tries to show the emotions and feelings of characters under certain conditions rather than passing some message. Let me share some background of the play which makes it quite interesting. The same was shared with us in the starting.

The idea of the initial play was to show the feelings, emotions and reactions of a mother when she comes to know that her son is homosexual. As the writer died after penning down his initial idea. The producer thought that it would be nice if we can incorporate the feelings and emotions of the son too in the same script. Hence, it approached another script writer with the idea. Once the script was ready with two concepts mentioned, he approached a director to direct the play. The director was busy in looking for another play which was showing the story of a struggling actor and a director. The producer used his presence of mind again and suggested to merge the two scripts.

Hence the ultimate story has three different corners, one is the mother of homosexual son, two is the son himself and three is the struggling director. Struggling director and homosexual son are played by the same character while the mother of a gay son is the character in the play which the director was directing in the script. The boy friend of the director is the actor who plays the role of the son in the play.

The story starts with the search of a femal actor to perform the role of a mother (the play is within the play and the mother in question is as told above). Till now, a male actor, Yash, was rehearsing the dialogues of the mother who is the boy friend of the director, Anay. Anay and Yash love each other and stay together.

Sita, a renowned actor from the past comes back in the city and announces to do her last play of the life. Luckily, she chooses to act in Anay's play titled "No. 1 Madhavbagh". No. 1 Madhavbagh is a story of a mother of three sons. The youngest of whom is found to be a gay. The story of No. 1 Madhavbagh shows the emotions, feelings, reactions and anger of the mother after she comes to know about her son's sexuality.

In the same script, there is a homosexual couple director Anay and actor Yash. When Anay tells her mother about his boyfriend, he has to answer typical questions from her mother. During answering questions to her mother, he shows his feeling and emotions.

Working on both the above concepts, Anay keeps struggling as a director and do whatever is right to make his play going. Everyone but Yash leaves him as he is not able to pay salary to other people.

If I confused you while sharing above thoughts then I am on right track The story can't be understood without watching it so go and watch it!

Today, I went to watch this play. I was wondering that why did they name it "dancing on glass"? The questions remained there while watching the play as well.

The play was about a girl and a boy. The boy was a friend of the girl's boy friend. Both of them are in call center jobs but in different companies.Girl's lover dies in an accident. The story is all about the trauma she goes through after this tragedy.

Sometimes she feel like spending whole time thinking about him, next moment she starts falling on her friend and in the very next moment she thinks herself cheap because her boy friend just died and she started looking for options. In the whole play, she keep changing her stand and couldn't decide what to do.

There is very beautiful incidence in which she goes out with her friend for a drink and while walking back, they pass through the place where her boy friend got hit on a bike and died. She remembers her boy friend at that moment and start crying to bring all the thoughts in the mind.

The performance was awesome, specially by the girl as that was the toughest character to play in the performance.

Friday, 1st May: I went to watch play titled "Bikhare Bimb". It was written and directed by veteran Girish Karnad. It was single actor play and story was ok but still it is worth watching and not to miss!

The performance given by Arundhati Nag was just amazing. I can't put that in words but if you get a chance to watch then just go for it and witness it.
