Recently there was a news that burqas are going to be banned inside classrooms of Karnataka colleges. This decision is another ridiculous in the list of funny decisions heard in Bangalore.

We are living in a secular country where everyone has the right to follow any religion s/he wishes. How can someone put restrictions on anybody when it comes to her/his religion. It is an attack on one's personal rights, individual rights and fundamental rights provided by the Indian Constitution.

Why don't govt. concentrate on real issues in the country rather than creating such lame issues and disturbing the peace here? I guess, there are plenty of works to do in every city of this country but nobody wants to put their hands in the dust because they don't have any real intentions to make this country a better place. It is all political game and I pity on those individuals (specially from so-called educated class) who get provoked by such decisions and announcements.

We need to be calm and ignore such activities.

France also has similar laws. The point here is not about individual rights. Govt spaces are for everyone and should free of any religious symbols etc.

I am not sure about France but India respect all religions. What if tomorrow one state says that it won't allow anyone with turban?
